Bheemeshwari is a place, where the pleasant green mountains & clouds in the sky & the rivers are located. It is approximately 110 kms from Bangalore. Bheemeshwari is a small town that lies between the Shivanasamudra falls and Mekedatu falls, on the Cauvery river in Mandya district of Karnataka. The fishing camp is not only a paradise for anglers but also an ideal picnic spot for holidaymakers.
The best time to go there is during monsoons when the Cauvery river is at its flowing best and rafting can be done at this time. Apart from rafting during monsoons, the other activities that can be enjoyed at Bheemeshwari are trekking, rappling and coracle ride. Jumering and river crossing can also be done if you have the proper equipments and instructors.
The lush forest sheltered by steep valleys and scattered by little streams, invites large groups of animals and birds. Here we do not advise to venture deep into the jungle or river, because, there are chances of finding wild elephants and a few crocodiles.
